Risk Management Training
Training is a specific regulatory requirement, all employers being obliged to provide employees with details of Risk and the avoidance of Risk. It is also a requirement under Common Law, the employer having to address his civil liability by providing training so as to fulfil his Duty of Care. Further to this, should a claim of negligence be made against the employer, written evidence will need to be produced demonstrating that those to whom he owes a duty of care have been provided with information, instruction and training which they understand and are freely able to act upon.
Informed Risk
Every Business takes risks but every CEO would hope that these are calculated risks. An employer needs to ensure that the decisions made are 'informed decisions'. This cannot be guaranteed without firstly educating the workforce at all levels, and then secondly persuading them to both identify risk and report on the risk.
It is sometimes found that both employer and employee neither appreciate the risk nor fully understand how to address the risk in such a way so as to reduce the risk to a level both acceptable to the employee and to the needs of the business.
Angela Taylor Training focuses on offering an integrated approach to risk management to include in the first instance a review of the current situation, secondly, to offer practical solutions, thirdly to implement the solutions and finally to monitor the effectiveness of the solutions. Your organisation must determine how much of this risk it wishes to carry or transfer.
